I have a whole folder of ATProto apps on iOS (plus a select few directly on my Home Screen). Today we call them “ATproto” apps. I'm trying to not use phrases like "third party" or "external services" when it comes to ATProto. I am the person who owns my data & will use any client, app, Lexicon, API or otherwise to work with my data. Sometimes this is short hand for "not bsky hosted" or "different frontend".
