I would rather be judged under a good law than by a good judge. I am Brazilian, and I know that in this country’s politics the judiciary means nothing. What really matters are personal connections—so much so that an illiterate person became president and even received an honorary doctorate. Brazil ranks roughly between 70th and 80th in the world for average IQ, which is a terrible position.
