First London trip of the year. I set my alarm for 0645. So, obviously, my brain woke me UK every hour after midnight, to check I hadn't missed my alarm.

I am currently using Cryptomator, so that files stored in a certain directory are encrypted, and the directory is mounted via FUSE and decrypted for me to use it, when I give the correct key. When I shut down, only the encrypted directory is stored. I seem to recall a "native" way of doing this, but I can't think of the name. eCryptFS?

I can’t believe that I get to write this blogpost.

My toot about HSBC UK blocking its app from running on my phone, because I have either or both F-Droid and Bitwarden installed, has got rather more attention than I'd intended, including journalist enquiries. A good reminder to me to be ever more mindful about what I toot. (I deleted it not too long after posting, but not rapidly enough!)

Urgh, "nudifying" services - the non-consensual generation of intimate pseudo-images of (mainly) women - are seemingly mainstream. What happened to consent?!
