I am contemplating using Tor, running on my UK-based fedi server, so that I can route traffic to other instances via Tor, and thus not present a UK IP address. But I am not rushing to do this, as I have an ethical issue to consider first: if a server admin wants to block UK users, while I *can* find a way around it, am I right to do so? Do I increase their risk - which they already perceive to relate to traffic from UK users - in doing so? Or do they expect circumvention, and just want to show that they are doing the bare minimum if needs be? Interesting...
