Ziggurat one of last standing monuments of Sumarians. Built sometime in 21st Century BC by King Ur-Nammu and his son Shulgi. It stood in the center of the city and was center of all administration. It is located near the modern-day city of Nasiriyah in southern Iraq, along the banks of the Euphrates River.
