One of the hardest things in life is coming to terms with the fact that some people are incapable of change. Some people are slaves to their ego and live an a constant state of cognitive dissonance. No amount of evidence can peel them away from their warped view of the world.
It is especially difficult when those people are family or loved ones. You are forced to watch them take a self destructive path in life and are unable to help them.
It is like watching someone standing on train tracks with a train coming at them full force. You yell to let them know to get off the tracks or they will be hit. All they have to do is take a couple steps, but their ego won't let them. Their ego tells them there is no train coming and everything is fine.
Feeling very foolish that I had been so bearish on the lightning network. iOS like self custody is not as far away as I had thought. Never underestimate #bitcoin builders.
Shoutout to @Alby for developing Alby Hub. I stopped running a lightning node years ago due to frustrations with the workflows. Alby Hub makes it pretty braindead easy for apes like me to manage channels. The UX is dope too.
