I've been reading up on #Secure #Scuttlebutt and a proposal for a spiritual successor (#PZP) and, without knowing anything about the feasibility of its technology, I must say I'm impressed with the idea of a local & offline first, #P2P social network. #Scuttlebutt has problems with the long-term size of its logs, problems that #PZP is supposed to solve. But no clients yet :( I don't like how important #relays are on #Nostr and I think they add a push for centralization. They might be necessary, but having a P2P option (and a way for the network to work without the #internet) sounds amazing.

I've come back here after briefly considering "deleting" my account... But #decentralized social media interests me too much. However, I don't think I gel totally with #Nostr culture. I need to curate my feed better.

I really think #Cypto, #Bitcoin, etc is cool. I don't like how the #Bitcoin has quickly become extremely cultic.
