BeetBear did his final tally on the butternut squash harvest for this year and came up with these numbers. In total we harvested 144 squashes. Of those we gave away 99 and kept the best 45 for ourselves. Not too bad, considering the year we had. Finally! A good, soaking rain. Better late than never. Since June, we've had only 5.4 inches (137mm) of rain, & all in brief, heavy showers. It's now been raining steadily for the last 18 hours. A good soaking. So far 1.77 inches (45mm) & looks to continue for a while. BeetBear is relaxing with his last thank-you note after giving away the farm yesterday.
