Interesting watching how core vs knots is continuing. While I do have problems with both sides this latest attack on core with this bug doesn't make sense.
You have to have been using core as your main wallet for something like 10 years because it's only a problem with legacy addresses.
You then have to decide to upgrade core to the latest firmware, which let's be honest if you've kept everything in a legacy address the probability of you upgrading now is very slim.
And you have to have never backed up your wallet.
New users DO NOT use core as a wallet. Hell, I abandoned core as a wallet and just use air gapped hardware wallets. New users will use an app on their phone. They aren't going to download core or knots.
So why the panic spreading? I really wish I could see level heads coming out of either side that ACTUALLY push back on their own group's FUD.
It would be a refreshing change and earn a lot of respect.
