I write technical articles on my blog. AIs show up in large numbers to read them, crawl them, learn from them. Time passes. I publish a new post. And right on schedule, someone comments: "This was clearly written by an AI". Which is fascinating, really. I write. Machines read. I keep writing. Then humans accuse me of being the machine. At this point I am not sure if the problem is that AI sounds too human, or that humans have forgotten what a human who actually studies sounds like. Either way, I will keep writing. Worst case scenario, the AIs will enjoy it. Best case scenario, one day a human will too. #IT #Blogging
Dear friends, over the past few months, from time to time, some people have asked me whether it would be possible to donate something to BSD Cafe using crypto. Personally, I am not an expert, and I have never been particularly enthusiastic about technologies that promise to revolutionize everything. That said, I do see some practical use cases, since there are services that can be paid for this way (VPS, etc.). This could be used to extend the BSD Cafe services/coverage. For this reason, and purely as an experiment, I opened a Monero wallet to see how it goes. At the moment it is empty, so if anyone would like to make a donation in Monero, the address is 82ZTWAe5njHMng5g4c1x3hDs1X552q9yobiJtsbo8R3mcUzx3gBfqxciqZ3kkjZ8reMnFEN9nRvw4467eoknsFmbFe9DJm7 This is just an additional option and does not replace any existing ways of supporting the project. Let’s see what comes out of it, and thanks! #BSDCafe
Two years ago, today I was feeling better and no longer had a fever, but I didn't have much energy. My wife didn't have a fever at that moment, but she had zero energy. It was Christmas Day and we were alone as we didn't want to infect our parents. We decided to take a short drive to the Po River to relax, without getting out of the car. I took this photo as a memory of that moment. By 27th December, I would have a 'brain fog' and dizziness. She had a cough that lasted for a long time. We decided to take a test. I was negative, but I had gotten sick earlier. She was positive. It was our first time having Covid. #Photography #Photo #River #Sunset #ThrowbackThursday #Mist image
