I didn't drink alcohol until my late 20s, so I am deliberately exploring different spirits and cocktails to see what I missed out on. I asked for recommendations on rum and someone suggested DiplomΓ‘tico Reserva. It is delicious! On ice, with ginger beer and lime, or coke. Great stuff. I thought I'd try some Bundaberg rum for comparison, and holy hell this is vile. It tastes like paint stripper. Bleugh. Does anyone have a suggestion for making it drinkable?
Phew. It's real hot up there, but the cable is run. Gotta go terminate it to the patch panel now. I wanted to get it further into the corner, but there was an uncooperative ceiling joist.
I gotta go up into the ceiling space to run cables. It's 38Β°C up there and rising. Pray for mojo.
Right. Finally installed that tube motor into the dining room blinds. It now closes automatically at 3 hours to sundown, to block direct light onto my boys' computer screens. It opens at sunrise. There's also a button on the wall for manual control. Boring home automation is best home automation. You can keep your showy RGB LED strip malarkey.
My local machine has an ipv6 address, my router's LAN and WAN interfaces have ipv6 addresses, my firewall settings are set to route between LAN and WAN6. Hmm.
Hm, tiny little insects in my dry oats. How long have I been eating insect-enriched breakfast? Who knows! Fun and good.
And here's the ice cream cooking sous vide. image
