Reform councillor Robert Bloom resigned 117 days after his election, after repeatedly shouting the word ‘n*****’ at his black neighbour, saying he would set the far-right English Defence League on her and told her there’d be ‘black body bags’. It's triggered a by-election, which will cost the taxpayer about £27,000.
