Watching Hurricane Milton head toward Florida's western coast is like watching a jumbo jet crash in slow motion. I've spent a lot of time in Florida and have been fond of the state and many of its residents. My father spent his last years in Lee County, where Hurricane Ian killed more than 60 people in 2022, and which seems to be near the cross-hairs for Milton as well. The Gulf of Mexico is an ever-hotter hotbed for hurricanes, but New England also gets its share. #Milton #hurricane image
