Yesterday, coming off a detox (word i use instead being sick) I had a pretty intense oly lifting training regimen and so my mind started yapping and doubting and these feelings of negativity started to creep in. But then I remembered the words of wisdom my girlfriend gave me earlier. "Fuck your feelings, in the moment it's either you DO or you DON'T!" And I chose to DO it and PR'ed on my back squats for 3 because I was fully committed to it instead of going in halfassed. You do or you don't, simple. #weightlifting #sandiego #lfg
Learning to do the hard things first while my daily battery is still near full and working in relation with my energy levels ultimately helps me conserve and use energy efficiently, instead of doing the opposite where I do the easy things and then end up where my energy levels are too depleted in comparison to the task at hand and procrastinate and put them off. Only to make my life harder because I start piling up a list of things to do that require more energy. Act on the hard things fast and first.
