guys from work are working on inventing their own data format because they're too good for xml or json. it's for something that's gonna be bolted on to ancient abandonware that speaks xml. so there's gonna be a proxy that takes their gay little format and spits out xml anyway.
I mean it they're literally working on a new parser for something the spec of which only exists in their heads. I don't think they even realise this, they're talking about how simple it's gonna be
