Nostr is the mercury of society. It will allow us all to bond together, and when we bond together, even if there is some attraction to statism it will not be enough to break these bonds. I extended a Turo trip and was chatting with the person renting me the car. Their take was under 50% of the additional payment I made on the extension. Nostr fixes this. I ordered DoorDash today and forgot an item, but no way to add via app -- the guy bought the thing I forgot and I paid him physical cash, and he just took that counterparty risk of paying for and holding those goods for 20 minutes. Nostr fixes this. Will there be challenges? Of course, but the demand for p2p, human exchange disintermediated from large faceless, fiat corps is palpable and people will make it work.
