> The Palestinian Commission for Detainees and Ex-Detainees’ Affairs revealed ruthless accounts of torture inside "Israel’s" Gilboa prison.
According to a lawyer who visited the facility, Israeli occupation forces have escalated the use of electric shocks against Palestinian prisoners, alongside brutal beatings and degrading treatment.
Special repression units reportedly storm cells under the pretext of inspections, shackle detainees, drag them into the yard, and assault them before electrocuting them; often after soaking their clothes and bodies to intensify the pain.
Prisoners are also struck with heavy metal stun guns, causing severe head injuries and loss of consciousness, while guards mock them during the abuse.
On top of this, Palestinian detainees face starvation-level food rations, severe weight loss, and a shortage of hygiene supplies and disinfectants in overcrowded, poorly ventilated cells, creating conditions ripe for disease.
