as part of an ongoing multimedia work on the topic of “disorientations and ornaments”, in which i deal with Iranian mythology and western orientalism, i have started to build creatures (one of my oldest forms of expression). Here's a ceramic friend I made last summer. Building worlds with different expressive outcomes comes with it's own way of disorientations.

Hi there, this is a scene from my movie Roya* starting over here and will be posting mixed stuff: my art, research and things that inspire me. I'm also interested in community building in Berlin and anything that has to do with organising against this unjust world. 🪬🧹🪞🧞‍♀️ Roya An experimental film that blends dream, memory, and reality to explore themes of belonging, displacement, and identity. Using video footage from the director’s first trip back to Iran after leaving in the 1990s, the film revisits a road trip from Isfahan to Sari.
