We’re Ananda and Andreas, together with our 1.5-yo son Levi.
Last year, we took a leap of faith and sold (almost) everything we owned to leave Switzerland for our biggest adventure so far: a new life in sunny Portugal 🇵🇹
After Andreas came close to burnout—working 12–14 hours a day in a senior real estate position—we decided to pull the ripcord, leave the unhealthy rat race, and completely reset our lives.
Our goal in Portugal is to live as independently and decentralized as possible. No strings attached, as autarkic as we can manage: living off-grid with our own water, solar power, and food supply—creating a healthier and more conscious life for ourselves and our child(ren).
So where does Bitcoin come into play?
We started stacking sats back in 2018, and now we’re kind of in a race against time. We’re betting that our remaining fiat reserves will carry us financially until our Bitcoin stack can take over.
Naive? Maybe.
Brave? Probably.
Life-changing experiences? 100%.
We’re not there yet, but we’re slowly building our new life. One step at a time. Recently, we bought a 3-acre property where we plan to build a small-scale permaculture farm and live off the land as much as possible.
