I feel like I get value from #Instagram. I enjoy seeing what my friends and family are up to and see what they think is valuable. I enjoy posting a few times a year as like a "virtual holiday card". I enjoy how it's not ramblings that you get on #FB and #X. BUT, the fact that #Meta decided to add in #Reels to compete with #TicTok has ruined the app. It has become such a temptation to suck my attention for hours that the things I actually do enjoy the app for are such a small percentage of usage. I've deleted all other corporate social media accounts except Insta and I am very tempted to do the same for Insta but those reasons listed above keep me there and it sucks. The fact that companies will manipulate the mind in that way while hiding behind the genuinely valuable aspects of the platform really makes me think that the executives running them are evil.

Everything coming out now about the United States government being so militant towards its own people and it's own economic drivers makes me feel like we aren't that far off from a catastrophic uprising.
