"The best, most all-encompassing way to describe our world is hyper-novel."
it's intriguing to me that we can see that initial comprehension is metaphorical at best, but not see that Divine comprehension generates taboos that transcend our journey toward intricate comprehension. For example, we recognize perhaps the simplest aspect of the negative possibilities of eating pork (trichinosis) but what other impacts do we not yet perceive? The rabbis theorized after millennia of observation, for example, that the consumption of pork induced spiritual blindness. How will we measure that?

Hope is the realization within, evoked by painting with what may be seen, that what is presently imperceptible is not only possible but perhaps more real than what is presently evident. Hope is the fuel of human endurance and proof of the transcendent.
Technological innovation has allowed mankind to imagine he has altered reality, when instead we have eliminated the natural boundaries that labored to ensure our health and well-being. In a world fashioned by man, we must re-establish boundaries that no longer seem obvious. God's Word will be the norm that guides us.

Narcissistic Spirituality
“There is a disintegration of moral integrity that parallels the disintegration of monetary integrity.” - Robert Breedlove
image We have never witnessed a time more in need of being reminded on a daily basis that God determines reality, not man. The Church would be well-served to return to God’s prescription for life, even in those things we have naïvely determined were no longer necessary. There is, perhaps, no greater “chronological snobbery” (to quote C. S. Lewis) than the stereotypical view on Leviticus.
