right as we're going through some eerie scenes in Severance:

me: huh? oh it's just the ghost caller
kid #2: the what?
kid #1: yeah it does that sometimes
me: the Bluetooth speaker goes into "call" mode, but nothing is connected to it. all cellphones are accounted for and not receiving a call. none of our computers or phones currently have a BT connection to the speaker. we don't know why it happens.
ghost: zzztztzbzb
#2: did it *say* something?
me: sounds like radio interference to me
me: except you only get that with analog headphones and stuff. it's impossible to get a Bluetooth protocol connection with random noise. dunno.
#2: I'm going to turn it off, this is creepy.
#1: you cannot.
#2: what do you mean you cannot?
me: yeah, it doesn't respond in call mode x3 you know, like haunted TVs in horror movies?
#2: *takes out usb-C cable* *presses the power button in various ways*
