Saw someone talking about how "Most olive oil is not olive oil." I am fortunate enough to live in places where olives grow abundantly, and guess what's the simplest way to get the best stuff?
One of the hacks I've learned is to go to the weekly bazaar and ask the locals where they buy the olive oil from. No fancy bottles or labels, just people who have been selling this for many years from their family farm; No hard-selling, fair price, and delicious!
That's how word of mouth used to work, but then things get complicated when cities grow bigger and bigger, and people come and go, potentially even getting away from doing unethical things.
Everyone keeps talking about how impressive AI is, but do you know how many things aren't even being shared on the internet? Not to mention how much misinformation is out there.
Garbage in, Garbage out.
I lost my wallet recently ( a friend confused mine with his, and he was boarding his plane ), so I was in a situation where I didn't have any cash or card with me. However, I had my phone on hand, guess what did I do? π
The first thing I did was calm down and think, and it turned out that I could get some cash with my phone at the airport. However, many things went through my mind that day: What if I lost everything? One thing that strikes me the most is that Bitcoin NEVER leaves you; I wasn't completely panic that day, knowing that I got seeds somewhere I could quickly assess to, and I've done quite some work up front, pilled some people and businesses around me, which means I can always ask for help and pay for things I need in sats.
One of the takeaways from that day was you might think that you are helping people when pilling them, but maybe you are also planting the seeds of helping your future self.
Closing up this post with a thought experience: what would you do if you lost everything in a foreign country?
Too busy learning and exploring lately, and most importantly, being surrounded by kindness! And I didn't realize that Bitcoin is 98k now, but the funny thing is nothing really changes if you don't sell Bitcoin back to fiat, stay humble and keep stacking is the way.
The real goal is creating a life that you don't need to escape from, being able to do things you love, and being surrounded by people who love you for being yourself.
Building your life unaffected by all the craziness going on in the world should be the goal; imagine if you need to care for EVERYTHING, when do you have time for yourself?
