RE: The world reads articles about a β€œhumanitarian crisis in Gaza.” I am living it. The tent we live in does not protect us from the rain. The cold reaches my children’s bones. The road that aid trucks use is the same road where we sink into mud. This is not breaking news for us. This is our ordinary day. We do not only need sympathy. Every time international law is tested by a real human tragedy, the difference is revealed between being a true moral principle and being a selective tool used according to interest. When the suffering of an entire people is left without accountability, the failure is not only legal, but civilizational. Justice that is applied to the weak and suspended before the powerful loses its meaning and turns from a human value into empty rhetoric. image
