The last day to apply to be a speaker is TOMORROW @My First Bitcoin is hosting a Bitcoin Education unconference in San Salvador on Nov 6 (the day before Adopting BTC El Salvador) What is an unconference & why did we choose this format? An unconfernce is decentralized and meant to empower the individual participant at the expense of a centralized body. In a true unconference the agenda isn't even set ahead of time, but rather at the start of the day by whoever attends. We'll do a hybrid model for this first attempt: The event will be divided into three areas. Indoors will be a more traditional setting with speakers, a stage, a microphone and lots of chairs facing one direction. Outside there will be a pre-organized space for thematic discussions, each with a lead to keep the group on track, but open for all to contribute. In the true spirit of an unconference, which is decentralized and where content and direction is decided by all participants, there will be an additional space outside whose schedule will be made the day of the event. Why this format? Because part of the mission of @MyfirstBitcoin_ is to empower the individual; another part is to reimagine what's possible. This means we try a lot of new things. Then we learn from the experience and we do it better the next time. We are NOT trying to copy 'success' in the legacy world. We are trying to reimagine it.
