The shape of the holidays changes and remains the same as we age. Parts you understood evolve or fall away, other parts become a new part of the view of the traditions we have.
It’s amazing watching seasons like this which have evolved over many generations. We are connected to the previous generations, they pass their joys, fears, and hopes to us by our practices. Those who come after us will learn of us in the same.

Wrote this on my whiteboard the other week:
“A door will open to an opportunity that you will take, though all you will discern is that you should take it.“
That whole bit about writing a vision is powerful, even in obscurity.
Today’s contemplation:
“Can it really happen that quickly?”
I remember when my world shifted immensely and nearly immediately in a matter of weeks. Can it really happen again? Or rather, why would I keep me from taking that kind of shift again?
It’s interesting. I have my “work“ blog to cross post here, and there is something to getting ⚡️ for the things that you share. Now, do the connections matter in such a way that someone would pay for them? That I don’t really know. I do this to explore such a postulate…
I share the associations I make between articles/publications of various sources posted across six or seven days of reading and contemplation. Is that worth lightning or bitcoin or dollars or any thing else like that? Maybe, probably, and yes.
Why is it valuable? Those trying to not get overrun with whatever is next want to be guided, informed, or just provoked to see things differently.
Perhaps there’s something to be said for the pioneers here who said “if it’s valuable send me some zaps.” And if it is, then maybe deeper play into things is warranted 🧐
