Today saw one of the hardest working, most loyal, and kindest cats cross the rainbow bridge. When I say hardest working, he really took his job protecting the acreage seriously. From squirrels, pheasants, foxes, to even staring down the nose of deer, he protected the acreage with the utmost diligence and bravery. He was always the first to greet us when we came home, and knew what our vehicles sounded like. He’d follow us around the acreage inspecting and supervising as he went. But at the end of the day, he could often be found having a snooze in his favourite spot: my Dad’s lap in the garage. My brother put really well today: we both knew more years with Cinder in our lives than without. Cinder was 21 human years old.
