America WTF. WHAT THE FUCK.
#BrittsBooks #BrittReads So, I have finished 2 books since my last #PrideMonth reading post… but I’m shy to post about the genre. Dammit. Shame. Insecurity. Why?!! Anyway - I’ll try to get my posts up this week! I’ve also been working through a handful of other books to see what I can finish before July 1st. 🫶🏻 I think I found a few that fit the bill. :lgbtq_flag:
Hey #trans family. My mom came to me today to ask how to support her best friends adult child (mid 20’s) who is planning to come out as trans to their family. They grew up, like me, in a deeply religious family in Georgia. Could you help me with resources I could share with my mom and her friend? I’ve sent over a couple that I feel are safe and affirming but the more, the better, to help. They’re quite ignorant, blinded by religious ideology, but open to understanding. Much appreciated! :lgbtq_flag:
Two of my nerdy tech devices that bring me a significant amount of joy: Boox Palma 2 and Remarkable 2. They’re black and white e-ink devices. I use them for different purposes. The RM2 is used for handwritten notes/PDF markup and the Boox is used for casually reading text/books/articles, practicing Anki cards, and other low intensity tasks. They’ve been extra clutch over the last few months since my migraines returned to ‘chronic’ status. #tech #eink image
I *love* this time of year. /s #wildfires image
When your mom texts to ask if she should start watching your special interest TV show you’ve watched at least 20 times… and she has no idea it’s one of your special interests. 😬😬😬😬😬🫠🫠🫠🫠 Help. lol

I think I’ve officially entered my ‘salt & pepper’ grey hair stage. 😬 I’m going to rock it but I definitely can’t hide it anymore! When I am brave enough, I might just update that profile photo that’s 5 years old. 🙃
As requested by a few friends, I’m going to go out on a limb and share my (no spoilers) thoughts of my queer reads for Pride month. :gaysparkles: Book: Payback’s a Witch Author: Lana Harper Genre: Fantasy/Romance/Witches/Queer Stars: 4.5 / 5 Thoughts: This is the first book I’ve ever read in this genre and I loved it! It’s a cozy story that reminds me of the vibe of Legends and Lattes with some romance. Speaking of, the ‘romance’ element is mild, sweet, and makes sense as part of the plot. The story was relatable with fantasy tropes that may feel familiar to folks who read a lot of fantasy books. Overall, found it quite endearing. :lgbtq_flag: #BrittReads
