but they don't affect #deltachat or any other #chatmail client because A) We never used #gnupg for anything; we use the modern #rustlang #openpgp implementation @npub1g3yv...xgmj, security audited multiple times. B) #openpgp is fine, as modernized in #RFC9580, which already warns against several #gpgfail issues (gpg has not implemented that spec) Please spread the word that #gpg is not #openpgp ... Thanks!

Short and succinct, @npub198t8...hasj lays down the incredible danger of the UK's current political talk about "banning under 16y olds" from using online services. UK's "age assurance" is similar to #chatcontrol 's "age verification" plans: the end of privacy when using online services. Basically policing everywhere demanding "show me your passport!" before you can cross the street to a web shop or forum.
