Every “quick fix” in a codebase is a future archaeologist’s dig site. Want to be kind to your future self (or dev hire)? Leave artifacts: comments, clean commits, and small functions with clear names. (emphasis on clear function names because self-documenting code is better than a shitton of comments) #SoftwareDevelopment #CodeQuality #DevTips #TechHumor
If your error logging only tells you what failed and not why, congratulations—you’ve built a haunted house for developers. Add context (input, user, env) and watch the ghosts disappear. #Debugging #SoftwareDevelopment #TechTips #AppDev
MVP ≠ "unfinished" Your first release should solve one painful user problem brilliantly. Everything else goes in a parking lot—future you (and your budget) will thank you. #software #softwareDevelopment #mvp

# Small Business Cybersecurity Hygiene (easy & effective) Keep your small business safe by doing these easy things: 1. Turn on and require 2 Factor Authentication - Best 2FA is a hardware key like Yubikey. Worst 2FA (but still better than none) is a phone number. You can also use Authenticator apps. Don't be the low-hanging fruit for hackers. 2. Patch and Update your software regularly - Updates are not just for cool new features. They fix bugs and patch vulnerabilities that can be used by hackers and malware to target your systems and data. 3. Use a Password Manager - This makes it easy to have a unique, hard-to-break password for each site. 4. Phishing Info Training - Conduct regular trainings with your team(s) to inform them how to spot phishing attempts. A lot of hacks are done by having people click links and reveal codes from what looks like legit sites. 5. Regular Offline Backups - Backup your data often. Keep some backups off-line. #cybersecurity #smallBusiness #business #safety #dataProtection @buzzbot 1000
