So, Bluesky made a change in its design that sorts replies to a post by "hotness". Some people is concerned, but there is other people making funny comments about the folks concerned by this. Mastodon is already having a pivotal part in the social media ecosystem only by *existing*. Yes, there are a lot of things that need to improve. Racism is the biggest one of them (this is not a debate by the way, this is observable reality). I hope that shit gets fixed soon because it is the biggest embarrassment for this place. But Mastodon and the #Fediverse in general is the only movement that would not be able to be co-opted by billionaires because, by design, it will never interest them enough to do so. Because: Most of us do. Not. Give. A. Shit. About. Advertising. And. Monetization. And if you do, it is fine!
