Last of the projects on my list that couldn't wait for tomorrow. Cinnamon roll scones. The heavy cream needed to be used. Baking seemed like the responsible thing to do because we don't want to waste food. For some reason these are the hardest to make and everyone's favorite. Go figure. I'd better get them delivered while they're still warm. #Baking
Summer looks consternated. She really doesn't like surprises especially new things popping up willy nilly on her front acre. So she barked until I came to look. She sat right down so we could devise a plan. The plan was simple. It doesn't take up much space although for a mushroom it seems rather large. We agreed to let it be. The mushroom agreed to stay right there and mind it's own bees wax. Summer was satisfied that we aren't in immediate danger and paid it no more attention. One more crises resolved. I wish they were all so easy. #Summer #DogsOfMastodon
Summer says she feels better today. She waits for breakfast while keeping her pal warm. Today will have to be a day of catch up on deferred housework for me. Laundry, floors, bathrooms and yard cleanup projects are all calling my name. The three of us spent part of our morning coffee conversation trying to figure out how we can maximize our efforts to resist. We have ideas and are determined to do our part. For today we will share our food. Bake scones to give as gifts and offer to shop for our neighbor who only has two chemo sessions left. I keep thinking about yesterday's protest when a young person in a loud truck yelled at me to go back to the old folks home. I am pretty sure he never had a grandma like me or he wouldn't be so hateful. He only increased my resolve. Good morning, Mastodon. #Summer #DogsOfMastodon image
