At some point Jeph Jacques, cartoonist of Questionable Content, just mastered creating single panels that seem designed for me to crop out and post on Mastodon and point at image
The Second-Order Streisand Effect is a social phenomenon where if a party makes an effort to censor information, discussion and news about the censoring attempt paradoxically leads to an increased awareness of Barbara Streisand, a musician whom most Zoomers would probably have never heard of if not for the Streisand Effect
Team/single dude behind Blacksky announces plans to ship an open payments app based on ATProto tech. I am very curious about this, as Rudy has managed to build at least one thing nobody else succeeded at, but also skeptical because: - Blacksky works well but has not (yet?) lived up to its promises on independence/uncensorability - I know people who tried to create payment processors and the hard part is preventing the upstream from censoring you, not building web apps.
Maybe ublock origin should just make a web browser
A thing I've never understood is if the word you're supposed to use for white folks is "Caucasian" then wtf are you supposed to call people from the Caucasus

Software as a surcharge
I have too many projects. I wonder if I could contract someone to migrate my WordPress to ClassicPress. I wonder if I could contract someone to write a javascript that halts the loading of an html page and its other javascripts, presents a popup to gain consent to use webaudio, then allows the other javascripts to resume, to fix my webaudio asmjs apps I no longer have the source for.
Check out this thread and realize that once Microsoft invented software (Recall) that can continuously scan a computer screen and semantically parse everything you're doing with it, it was inevitable that a government would attempt to make this technology mandatory
