With 32% tariffs on Taiwan in effect, we’ve increased system pricing for US customers by 10%. For now, we’re absorbing the remaining tariff cost. For our lowest-priced base configurations, where we can’t afford to absorb the tariffs, we’re currently pausing sale to the US.
We’re delaying opening pre-orders for Framework Laptop 12 in the US. We’re still opening orders for the other countries we ship to tomorrow (April 9th), now at 10am PT.
We’re incrementally making adjustments for US customers as tariff impact comes into effect, starting from changes that are most reversible. That is, temporarily delisting SKUs or delaying listing new SKUs is easy to undo if we see tariff reduction or mitigation. (cont)
Due to the new tariffs that came into effect on April 5th, we’re temporarily pausing US sales of a few of our base Framework Laptop 13 systems (Ultra 5 125H and Ryzen 5 7640U).
For now, these models will be removed from our US site.
We will continue to provide updates as we have them.
Framework Laptop 12 pre-orders open on April 9th at 8am Pacific! We'll be sharing pricing, full specs, and shipment timing then. This is the most mission-aligned product we've built, and we can't wait to see what you think of it.
As you may know, recent tariff changes now include Taiwan.
Since most of our products are manufactured in Taiwan, we are currently assessing how this will impact us.
We’re monitoring closely and will have more updates in the next few days.
Thanks for your patience as we navigate this.
