I found out for that Asus laptop I could put linux on it but i need to get an intel AX210 adapter. Not sure if I want to spend $20 on a broken laptop though ( no screen ). Though the wi-fi adapter would be cheaper than buying a module of DDR5 ram. ON the other hand the machine is going to a relative who doesn't know much about linux and is only familiar with windows and I don't want to be 24/7 tech support either.

Wallpaper engine is a cool software but I find it annoying some users put sound in their wallpapers and you have to emember to turn it off. Woke up to hearing a PS2 clock wallpaper making noise every 15 seconds and it drove me nuts to figure out where the sound was from.
