Watching the NYC Mayoral debate & repeating for the MAGAs and the Centrists in the back. "No cash bail" doesn't mean "criminals are released into the streets." It means rich people who commit violent crimes don't get bail because they have money. No cash bail ensures low income people—like Kalief Browder who suffered 3 years at Rikers for allegedly stealing a backpack—aren't imprisoned on mere accusations of non-violent crimes because they can't post bail. CHICAGO: Federal Judge Jeffrey Cummings has found that ICE agents violated the terms of a consent decree by detaining people without proper warrants. He ruled that as of this week ICE must wear body cams at all times and can face arrest and contempt proceedings if they conduct unlawful, warrantless arrests. AGAIN, every judge nationwide should make this clear. ICE fascists must follow the law or they will face arrest. Period.
