After “How do we stop Trump?” the second most common question I’ve received this week is “How do we stop Musk?” Musk's access to our private data is blatant corruption. It is a coup. And while we continue to wait for Democratic leadership to act—what can we as ordinary citizens and residents of this nation do? Enter the Privacy Act of 1974 and a clear call to action each person can and should take. As always, no paywall. Please read, act, and share.
Imagine being locked in a small cell, cut off from meaningful human contact, sunlight, even for years. This is the grim reality for at least 122,000 people each day across the U.S. in solitary confinement. Solitary isolates individuals for up to 24 hours a day, inflicting profound harm. Recognized as a form of torture, solitary confinement remains pervasive in U.S. prisons. Here's how bad the situation is, and moreover, how we end this form of torture.
USAID worked aggressively against apartheid South Africa—in case you were wondering why apartheid clyde is so adamantly working to shut it down. Also, an act of Congress enacted USAID and only an act of Congress can undo its existence—no matter how much megalomaniac billionaires wish otherwise.
In my article today I made this exact point that Dem leadership has no consistent message, and I got accused of being a “paid Russian agent.” Now Dem leadership are themselves admitting they have no coherent message. I wasn’t sharing opinion folks, I was sharing facts. Here’s my piece on what’s broken, and what Dems need to do to fix it ASAP because we are way past out of time: image

Autocrats want capitulation through exhaustion and compliance through fear. Do not give them that fuel. Instead, in response to the 7 fascist actions cited, I offer 7 acts we can take to enact meaningful change for justice. Here’s how:

Reminder once more that the President has ZERO authority to reallocate funds already appropriated by Congress for a particular purpose. And an unelected billionaire oligarch has even less than ZERO authority to hijack & reallocate funds. This is a coup. A hostile takeover. A Constitutional crisis.
This Black History Month remember human trafficking was legal. Slavery was legal. Jim Crow was legal. US Govt paying reparations to white enslavers but not to the enslaved was legal. Prison slavery still IS legal. Do not let legality & power be a measure of morality & justice.
BREAKING: Acting FBI director confirms DOJ has ordered him to fire 8 FBI executives & share the names of every employee who worked on the January 6th insurrection cases. What a world when the Nazi who wore the "Camp Auschwitz" shirt is pardoned & the people who convicted him are punished. Horrific.
