This does make me wonder if things like “GoodRx Gold” are scams, because the one time I tried to use it a few years ago they just glanced at it and hit a button, and it sure seems like if you know the correct combination of magic words then healthcare providers and pharmacies will just give you whatever you want for cheap/free anyways, but maybe I’m missing something.
Or maybe GoodRx Gold is just a subscription service to knowing those magic words 😂

I get new health insurance and CVS calls me up like hey CVS pharmacy isn’t covered by your insurance anymore. You can just pay the full price $480, or we can send it to maybe Walgreen’s or somewhere else you want, or we can put a “CVS coupon” on it for you

So glad I left this crummy company in the dust years ago. I can’t believe they even made it through the pivot to an overpriced subscription model back in 2021, why do consumers roll over and accept this with hardware?
If you want a smart ring with ass security at least buy a Samsung Galaxy Ring, but I’m very unconvinced these are a good idea at all.

Make no mistake though, this has nothing to do with foreign tourists, and everything to do with making sure every American is forced to ID themselves and “verify their citizenship” everywhere they go.
Charging non-citizens extra probably will not even break even with the additional cost of now having to validate a person’s citizenship, but that doesn’t matter when the goal is just mandatory IDs for everyone. It’s crazy how fast Americans have gone from largely being staunchly anti-ID just a decade ago, to now giving in to the government’s every whim.
