Daniel (one of the last OT prophets) predicts the rise of a Greek reign. So wouldn't it make more biblical sense if that is the political context the NT would open up with?

There's no Roman Empire in the Bible.
Just a place (city?) called Rome, that some people mention and go to. And one mention of the language used there. That's it.
