Pro tip for nostr devs—learn to think about engagement in different ways than "likes" — imagine a new ontology for the UX. At a fundamental level, users want to participate in the construction of a worldview via the social layer. How can we present an opportunity for people to do this in a way that is healthy for the society and the individual, a way that maximizes autonomy and further distributes the values we subscribe to most?
Something I have wished for on Twitter is a way to bring tweets into the Google maps experience. When someone I follow mentions a place, maybe a restaurant or an interesting historical place, it would be neat to be able to access that information layer when I'm inside Google maps to provide some extra context. "Hey, I wonder if there's anything good to eat around here? Oh look, that guy from XYZ that I follow on nostr says the french fries at ABC are great." What's the best open source maps platform? Does nostr have a way baked into the protocol that would make it feasible to deploy this kind of feature? @jb55 @Vitor Pamplona @PA₿LO F7z
