So the #KingsLynn #Steampunk Society Bazaar was bigger and more fun than I expected. (Honestly I had no idea what to expect!) We were some of the very few people there not dressed up. There were lots of stalls and displays. Many crafted items. Though I did spot at least two using clearly GenAI artwork... which is what it is. 🤷🏻 We didn't come away empty handed. From crafters I got a leather hand-stitched bookmark featuring some mystical fungi, and Kat got a new fan complete with a holster fashioned out of a belt and a cat collar. From a second hand bits and bobs stall I got a weird carabineer/watch/compass combo (I think the watch internals need replacing) and a small pocket-knife (knife, scissor, file) which was a freebie along with the puffin pin. The red 3D printed "fidget spinner" was also an on-entry freebie (printed to "use up the ends of filament rolls, lol.) Quite a few 3D printed items around as components of other items. Also got a couple of "making" ideas. image
Went to take the old oven to the recycling centre. iorst time we've been to it. Oh no. They have a shop. Oh no. We bought £15 worth of "junk". Oh no. 😅 An eclectic collection... a metal framed folding combo kneeling pad and stool, a Twining branded parts box, a small indoor plant pot/holder, and... a vice. As Guns N' Roses sung: Just like you, I got my vices
Surprising?! #Steampunk shenanigans in #KingsLynn tomorrowm image
Ah, diddums, no room for my keyboard on my desk, can't use the computer, such tragedy. I am currently trying to remap my schedule so that I leave the house by 06:15 to get to work for 07:30 meaning I can leave work by 16:30... the upshots being this is the best schedule I can find to avoid traffic, and that getting home my 18:00 gives me a bit of time to do things like sow some seeds before making dinner! Today's sowings are:
A pot each of

Thai basil (to grow indoors!)

Flat leaf parsley

A broadcast tray each of:

White Lisbon spring onions

Winter Density lettuce

Two trays with for rows each including:

American/Land Cress

Apollo Rocket

Wasabi Rocket

Mizuna

Tatsoi (new seed)

Tatsoi (finishing seed from 2020)

Green Pak Choi

Red Pak Choi

I am late getting to it, but hopefully not too late for some of these things to work out overwinter in the #allotment polytunnel and greenhouse. image
That's the #allotment postcard for 13th/14th September uploaded... it's a bit crap, I lost footage, so sorta some slideshow waffle... I'm obviously also a full 2 weeks behind at present.
Managed to squeeze an #allotment harvesting visit in before it got dark today... and harvested ALL OF THE QUINCE... this is a mad harvest. Just the split/damaged ones I have off to the side here are more weight of quince than we had last year. I've not weighed these but there are several kilograms. Also some tomatoes of course, plus a big of chard there. The quince variety is "Vranja". image
What are people preferring as a Fedi/Mastodon client on #Android these days? I've been using Megalodon for years but it has seemingly started having some issues talking to my (glitch-soc) Mastodon instance. #AskFedi
