We got a bit of #allotment time in after everything today, felt compelled to get some time in given yesterday's forecast switched from a nice full sunny arvo to grey grey grey all day... Hopefully tomorrow isn't too bad and we get more done. Two more beds nearly ready!

w00t! Once again we are Smegging Smegheads! Thanks to Freecycle... they claimed this oven was working fine, but it intermittently tripped out our RCD. So I suspect it was on Freecycle for... alterior motives (easy disposal). It *appears* to be the case that the fault was simply this dead bulb jammed in the socket with bent pins... we replaced it and the oven has now successfully heated to 200°C and maintained that whilst opening and closing doors without the RCD tripping. 💡 I am not yet 100% convinced as the fault was intermittent and I have too little data to be sure. We shall test it out with a couple of simple bakes today, probably oven chips 🍟 and maybe this zucchini recipe recently posted by @npub1fqff...ajkk : https://www.kingarthurbaking.com/recipes/scarpaccia-italian-zucchini-tart-recipe If it passes then perhaps tomorrow we shall celebrate with a pizza night. This oven even has a pizza mode. 🍕

'tis the season! Thankfully I have bookmarked the massive zucchini recipe thread from a few weeks ago. Four plants on the #allotment is more than enough. 😅 I think I have to introduce my colleagues to zucchini cake.

Last week's #allotment postcard is a bit rambly (like that's different from normal lol)... mainly we clear some space, plant some seeds, and a bit more site work occured.

Have a weird garden tap... in the UK, what is an uncommon/old(?) thread size between the two usual thread sizes? (Which I assume are ½ and ¾ BSP?) #Allotmemt
