Hark, what's that sound?
Ah, just our regular friendly evening Chinook flyby.
(It regularly flies up to tbe firing range over The Wash, zigzags back and forth loads, then flies south again following the same interesting route down via Aylesbury.)
Well, it seems (Italian-ish) pizza night may have ground to a sudden stop... oven seems to be dead (again). I suspect it will be the element this time, as other parts are working (last time it was the door switch). Have turned on the never-used top and bottom grill elements to see if they have enough oomph to achieve anything.
Heydeho... bah.
Gumbo *misenplace*!
Stamdard triumvirate of onion, celery, and green capsicum†.
A generous pile of various sliced chillies†.
Plenty of garlic†.
Frozen sliced okra.
Local chicken drumsticks which I seasoned and grilled yesterday, plus a pile of smoked Polish sausage.
Chicken stock jellies (distant second best to home made stock, haven't had time to do a stock alas.)
Plain flour and maize oil.
Seasonings not shown, I've not made the creole spice mix yet.†
