For those who don't know (basically all of you) I became a father at 15 years old. It was a wild experience, and I had to grow up quickly, and I'm far from perfect. But as my son approaches that age (he's 14 now) parenting has never felt more important and pressing. I am constantly aware of myself in him. Pros and Cons. He's an amazing person, and I couldn't be more proud of him. However, the Prime Directive has never felt more pressing:
"Raise children who are better than you are."
I feel proud of the job I've done so far. I feel proud of the man my son is becoming in front of my eyes. He is better than me in many ways, and the list keeps growing.
I truly cannot imagine life without children.
