The four-year-old treats Tetris like playing blocks. He tries to build the coolest tower. This drives the nine-year-old slightly crazy, but I pointed out that, in four's version of the game, he gets to win every time.
You fool! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders, the most famous of which is "Never get involved in a land war in Asia.” But only slightly less well-known is this: "Never mention dissatisfaction with a Microsoft or Apple product on Mastodon if you aren’t prepared to switch to Linux!”
I did something this year that I would like to recommend to everyone for the new year. Call it a Fedi Resolution if you like. Find someone whose work you like and become their champion. Not in a creepy way, but make a point of boosting them every time they post (or post about) their work. Recommend it to people you think would like it. The Fediverse works if it works for the people who use it. If you see someone who does something you like, lend your voice to help make it work for them.
