The Hungarian presidency in the Council of the EU has proposed another text for the #ChatControl file. It is to be discussed by the law enforcement working party in Council on Monday (23 September). Experts widely criticise Chat Control e.g. for attacking #E2EE, IT-security and violating (European) fundamental rights. The #GlobalEncryptionCoalition now warns that the Hungarian proposal fails to resolve the problems of the regulation and calls on governments to reject it:
