A new day. A new chance to succeed. An uncertain day. Workmen are supposed to arrive tomorrow for a major renovation project. They were supposed to confirm this arrival Friday but did not. Palpable uncertainty. I'm fine with uncertainty. With dealing with it as it comes. Others in the household, not so much. We'll do what we can and adjust when the moment arrives. Riding out the holiday for a few hours before digging in for Monday's expected chaos of workmen and loud noises. We have a few tasks that need doing in preparation. Moving a heavy couch will be a challenge for my old bones. Some things can't be made pleasant. They must be endured in hope that the outcome will be worth the price. A new day. A new chance to succeed. Holiday routine. I'll start off the day's festivities in about 90 minutes. Nothing too onerous. The menu has been settled for years. I have a schedule to follow. Our small clan will gather mid-morning and separate again by mid afternoon.
