People across the world are watching Australia's social media ban for under-16s... and now the first data is in: So far the closure of 4.7mn accounts (belonging, or presumed to belong to under-16s) have been reported to Australia's eSafety Commissioner. There has been some, but considerably less take up of alternatives, and already Australian authorities are working to expand the ban to smaller platforms.
