#NCP Holy cow! Major #F1 news. The 'fookin' guy' at Haas has been fired. Gunther Steiner, who became mega famous because of the Netflix series on F1, was let go by Haas racing. I did not see that coming. Then again, I've seen interviews with Gene Haas in the past, and he's a very ego driven guy (though not nearly as bad as Papa Stroll) I could see him being jealous of Gunther's fame.
So I thought the #Cuptimo was a bit of a joke, really. I mean a blood pressure style pump, attached to a pourover #coffee maker? While it is a bit "hacky", it actually works really, really well. One of the things I dislike about #nobypass coffee brewing is the dwell / draw time. Some devices take up to 10 minutes. This creates a vacuum in the vessel below, when you choose to create that vacuum. Said vacuum completes the brew quickly. They're onto something here. cc @coffee group
Today's espresso, the first of 2024, is pouring nicely. @npub1jcn4...gw7e #espresso image
I really didn't expect my post yesterday about date formats to explode like it did. A lot of passion out there about date formats! I wonder what would have happened if I posted about metric? 😎 Speaking of which, I still use Fahrenheit when referring to water temperatures in coffee brewing, vs. Celsius. Why? Because Fahrenheit has a smaller resolution between numbers than Celsius, ie 202-203F is a smaller temperature change than 93-94C.
One reason why the #LagomMini #coffee #grinder is a finalist in CoffeeGeek's 2023 Product of the Year category is the micron-tight tolerances of its build construction. For example: the tubular grinds chute is embedded in the main body of the grinder. and the fit is down to maybe 20 microns, and uniform. Check out this detailed photo.
