Have just completed a two week tour of NE USA by Amtrak train (Chicago>SanFrancisco>Seattle>Minneapolis>Chicago). Had a blast. It’s been a few years since I was last in the US….I can’t believe how expensive everything has become. Being in the UK I’m used to high prices but I was shocked when I went into a Wallgreens or 7/11 for some basics….all that money printing’s coming home to roost I guess in the form of massive inflation.

Just arrived in Chicago from London. Been to loads of places in the States but this is my first time in the mid-West. So far I’m liking what I see!
